The Mattos unit of toastie tastyness...

I have to introduce the unit of "The Mattos".  Let me explain how it works:

An empty toastie measures "Zero Mattos".
Something worse than empty, for example a brussel sprout toastie measures negative Mattos, while something better is positive on the Mattos scale.

The scale, like all good scales, is logrithmic.  There is no negative or positive limit, and a toastie of 3 Mattos is double as good as a toastie of 2 Mattos.  Likewise, a toastie of -2 Mattos is half as good as a toastie of 1- Mattos.

To set the scene, here are some prelimary measurements I have made:

0 Mattos - By Definition! - An empty toastie, cooked to perfection with a median supermarket basics range value bread, 3 days from expiration, at standard temperature and pressure.  "perfection" represents the maxima - the tastiest it is possible to make plain bread taste without added ingredients.

2.32 Mattos - Five times better than nothing!  - A Chocolate orange toastie falls here.

-1 Mattos - half as good as nothing - Liquids in a toastie...

The best toastie pair is...

Spreadable Chocolate orange with HP Barbeque sauce.

If anyone can beat my combination, you win!
